Rich Dad Poor Dad is a finance and self-help book written by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter. Sharon Letcher is an accountant, businesswoman, motivational speaker and the CEO of Pay Your Family First, a financial education organization. She is also the author of Think and Grow Rich, an international bestseller. Currently aged 63,she has many investments and financial literacy projects to her name, a feat that earn her recognition by the Business Journal as one of the dynamic women in business in 2013.
Robert Kiyosaki is an American investor and serial entrepreneur. He is the author of The Cashflow Quadrant, another bestseller. The book Rich Dad Poor Dad is based on his life, it revolves around understanding what the rich teach their children about money that the poor do not.
The 10 chapters of this book are very important to anybody who wants freedom. By freedom, I mean anyone who has no desire to work their entire lives. Some of the topics covered include:
- The mindset of the rich vs. the mindset of the poor/middle-class.
- Formal education vs. the real world.
- Working for money vs. making money work for you.
- Assets vs. Liabilities
- Financial literacy vs. financial dwarfism
- Personal growth vs. Stagnancy
Millennials do not read. That is a fact. The ones that read to improve themselves turn out great. The reason I chose this book is not only to empower myself but also my age mates. I want every 23-25 year old to be financial literate and make choices that shape a great future. I want millionaires and internet moguls to come from my age bracket. Reading is the key to achieving that. Sure it is all fun and games but the future has to be considered as well. Rich Dad Poor Dad has been endorsed by some of the greatest entrepreneurs the world has ever seen.
Donald Trump may be a mean man but he is one of the world’s most successful business men. We owe him that much. He is the King of Debt and bankruptcy could not stop him from become a player in Real Estate. He has read and recommended the book. Oprah Winfrey is America’s biggest female media mogul. She endorsed the book on her show. Married to superwoman Jada Pinkette Smith, Will Smith attributed some of his financial lessons to this book.

There are copies on book stores countrywide. However, if you are on a budget, a pdf copy will do. My advice is that you should get a hard copy. The next eleven weeks will transform your life!
How the book club works
