I am doing a silly dance right now.So, what have I been doing right? I will share the details this week.
Donkey kicks are easy to do.They target Gluteus maximus muscles or Glutes, otherwise called booty.There was a time when I was embarrassed when it came to talking about these things but I’m slowly coming around.
- Get in a dog position (lol) using your hands and knees.
- Make a kick (like a donkey), high up in the sky.Make sure the rest of the body is still.
- Repeat it on the other side as well.Do as many reps as you can.
Other ways to perform donkey kicks:
You can use the tube resistance band as I have.If you have access to the smith machine then you can use it as well.
We we learn all these in Gym 101 Class so do not worry.Otherwise, try the donkey kick, you do not need any equipment, just a little motivation and space, lest you kick your utensils like I once did in my one-roomed apartment the other day.
