Hustle Wednesday: Meet Dj Zinhle Jiyane

Hello, how is your week so far? Mine is okay I guess. I am so excited about today’s entrepreneur because I know much about her. Talk of research! I also love her hustle and how she has packaged her brand over the years. My day is not complete without watching her insta stories.

Ntombezinhle Jiyane is a South African disc jockey, just one of the few female deejays in a male dominated career. She began mixing in 2004 and has since propelled her fan base and a massive corporate clientele. Well known in the South African music scene for hits such as ‘My Name Is’ and ‘Colours’, the hardworking Dj Zinhle cashes a lot on night club gigs. She is ever booked!

She owns an online shop , Era by DJ Zihnle , a line of specially designed watches that she promotes regularly on social media. Her business acumen is admirable as she has mastered the use of social media and her huge following to grow her customer base.

She also co-owns a Deejay Academy called Firm Understanding of Sound Entertainment (FUSE) which nurtures young female deejays.

As a celebrity, DJ Zinhle has partnered with many brands to contribute to her growing empire including Albany Bread and Legit just to mention a few.

She is a fitness enthusiast.Even post -pregnancy, she has that body that we see her work for (team insta stories) and one cannot help but admire her work ethic and strong values. In her own words, this is something she said about fitness that really resonates with me.

“I spend an hour at the gym, 5 mornings a week. I am up at 4:30 and at gym by 5:00. I know that you think this is too early and you love your sleep but it gets easier with time. I am part of what Robin Sharma calls the “5am Club”. According to Robin, rising early is a habit of successful people. He also says that 5 am to 8 am are “The Golden Hours” that the most successful achievers in the world use to set up their days for success. The way you begin your day really does determine how you live your day.”

Remember when we talked about the 5 AM club? I got so happy when I saw this!

Her most recent project, It Takes a Village is a reality show that focuses on topics that affect the less fortunate such as poverty and unemployment.

Dj Zihnle is proof that you can use your talents and fame for the greater good.

See you around!
