Swimming tutorial: Learn the Breaststroke

Hello,

How is the week coming along? January should just end already. What a slow month! Remember when we tried the free style here? Well, it’s about time we learn the breaststroke, my favorite way of swimming. It is sort of the mediator between the freestyle and the butterfly. Not only does it allow you to breathe easy but also exercise the whole body to exhaustion, good for weight loss.

Are you living your dream or your parents’?

I have had a rough time over the past few months that I have been trying to grow my ideas into a business. I will site four incidences that have motivated me to write this article:

Myself:

I have been a bright student all my life. Always somewhere among the top and my parents have always taken pride in that. My mum calls me a doctor. Hypothetically speaking, if I were to pursue Science to PhD level, I would be a doctor. On the other hand, I have been on radio, written online a lot, been an emcee at a couple of events and ultimately run a blog. I love science. I chose it but along the way I realized that media was more natural. I enjoy every minute of writing and photography and the thrill of hearing my voice over the microphone. Something tells me I can juggle both. We’ll see how that plays out.

TEEZIE 5: Bloggers who are killing it!

Hi there ,

I decided to let my blog represent my personality. In the world of motivation, you are an average of the five people you hang out with. This section is therefore dedicated to those whom I perceive to be the best in their art or science. So, supposing I was to hang out with anyone in their area of specialty, it would be them. Because I’m a blogger, I had to have ‘my family and co’ in the first episode of this series.

Here are my top 5:

Greatness is a Choice

I study successful people. When I was in high school in 2009, I wrote President Obama’s speech word for word at the dining hall while everybody else was watching. It was awkward. At that time, all I knew was that I wanted to be successful. It did not matter what the other kids thought. I did not know exactly what I wanted to do but it made sense to just draw inspiration from someone who had made it.

‘You gotta get up and try’-P!NK

Howdy,

I may have mentioned my insecurity at the pool here. Come to think of it, I do not even know why I was scared in the first place. I feel kind of stupid now .Nobody cares really.Even when you are slim with a big belly, you get a pass.Anyway,I wanted to swim for a long time but I couldn’t.I thought of the pool as this place where ‘specific’ people go. I was wrong. Those were just silly thoughts that I had confined myself to.

Stepping Outside the Comfort Zone!

“No one ever excused his way to success.”-Dave Del Dotto

Good morning,

I am eating a banana as I type this. It’s such a dull day.I hope I get things done though.I have been thinking about lifting for some time now. I really want abs and it’s no secret but for a long time I have been scared to look masculine. I may have mentioned that the gym at school is full of men,a reason I often give as to why I haven’t hit the gym yet. This week however,I noticed that I have been getting too comfortable with outdoor workouts.I decided to take the plunge.
